The Swamp Docs event features a pitch session segment for projects that need assistance & guidance followed by Trailer presentations by a Florida documentary team or digital journalist with a minor Q&A. The event is then highlighted by organizations seeking to collaborate or team up with emerging documentarians and digital journalists. We wrap the event with networker segment. An interactive pre-show party takes place one hour before showtime with opportunities to meet the cast, snap selfies and play games so be sure to come and get your seats early! hailing from around the world. The Broadway-style opening and closing singing and dancing add another level of storytelling and magic to the experience.

The main event lasts approximately 90 minutes, with a brief intermission. Attendees are encouraged to stay after the show to mingle with the performers and take group photos on stage with the cast for no additional charge. The show will be presented by our bilingual Ringmaster in Spanish and English and the majority of our performers are Spanish/English speaking (in addition to many other languages.)
Tickets are $5 more at the door than prices online, so save time and money and buy online in advance. When we sell out online there are no tickets available at the door. Our Sensory Friendly show is on Thursday, Feb 6th at 7pm. This is a quieter version of the show to accommodate those with sensory overload concerns and outbursts around the theater are encouraged and expected!

Join HistoryMiami Museum’s Resident Historian, Dr. Paul S. George, for a series of Thursday classes that will cover a variety of topics about the history of South Florida and will include: lectures, discussion, visits to HistoryMiami Museum’s exhibitions, as well as visits to historic sites in Downtown Miami.
Each class session will include a one-hour lecture followed by a one-hour tour of the Museum or walking tour of Downtown Miami. Class registration includes all five classes in the semester. There are no make-up days should you miss a class.

Rouge Invites you this coming Friday to Bossa Nova, A Brazilian Jazz Dinner Musical featuring Rose Max and Ramatis Moraes.
Born in Rio de Janeiro, Rose is the great-grand daughter of the conductor Cupertino de Menezes and granddaughter of the guitar player Manuel de Menezes, both legends of the early Brazilian music.
She started singing professionally with the Octeto Rio Orchestra performing in the musically wealthy nightclub scene of Rio. She studied vocal technique with Graciela di Salerno, Nancy Miranda and Suely Mesquita. She also studied theory and ear training at the lnstituto Vila Lobos and Centro de Instrução Musical Ian Guest. Rose graduated with a degree in Portuguese and Literature from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.
Rose moved to the US in October of 1993, where she keeps a very busy performing schedule (about 260 shows per year). She has become highly recognized in the Brazilian, Spanish and American communities.
Rose Max was nominee 20 times and won 7 times the Brazilian Press Award for the “Best Female Brazilian Singer Residing and Performing in the USA”.
In 2003, Miami’s New Times Newspaper elected Rose Max the “Best Female Vocalist” of the year and in 2005 like a “Best Lounge Act” of the year.
In 1999 , Rose Max had her Greencard approved as ALIEN OF SPECIAL ABILITY, like a “promoter/embassadress” of Brazilian music and culture in this country. And now she is already American Citizen.
Moved to Miami in October of 1993, where she has been continuing to grow and develop musically, and by keeping a constant performance schedule, she has become highly recognized in the Brazilian, Hispanic and American communities.
Born in Rio de Janeiro, capital of Bossa Nova, Ramatis began classical guitar studies at the age of seven. At the age of twelve he began performing professionally at local bars and nightclubs. Pretty soon, he found himself backing up the biggest names in Brazilian Popular Music (MPB), including Roberto Menescal, Johny Alf, Peri Ribeiro, Maria Creuza, Claudia Telles, Elizete Cardoso, João Nogueira, Roberto Ribeiro, Jovelina Pérola Negra, João de Aquino, Marcus Moura, Moreira da Silva, Golden Boys, Tim Maia and many others. Ramatis studied music at the Estácio de Sá University and was later tutored by the legendary Maestro Aristides Santos. Ramatis is considered one of today’s biggest Bossa Nova guitarist/bassist in the US and has been living in Miami for the past 13 years, playing MPB, Brazilian Jazz, Electronic Music and Bossa-Nova at the most prestigious local venues ( Jazid, Hemisphere Lounge, Flute, Jade,Favela Chic, Four Seasons Hotel, Delano Hotel, Ritz Carlton Hotel, Amaturo Theater at Broward Center of thePerforming Arts, Jackie Gleason Theatre, Manuel Artime Theatre,Gusman Center, Sunrise Theatre etc, etc, etc).
In 2001 Ramatis won the International Brazilian Press Award for the “Best Musical Producer of the year”. He is also a successful songwriter, producer and arranger, currently signed to Warner Chappell Publishing.
