We always get a little giddy when we’re scanning through our instagram account and see a new foodie spot tagged by one of our local influencers. We have been seeing the following places pop up on our radar the last couple weeks and we do indeed recommend that you stop in and show some neighborly Midtown and Wynwood love to our local Downtown nom-nom locations.

#1 – El Cielo by Juan Manuel Barrientos

El Cielo by Juan Manuel Barrientos is a new-to-Miami restaurant with a 15-course tasting menu.  With other locations in Medellin and Bogota, the chain won a ranking in Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants in 2013 and 2014.  The restaurant is at 31 SE 5 Ave.

Fooq’s is a new restaurant serving “feel good food” inspired by international flavors.  Set in the Arts & Entertainment District, this restaurant specializes in a farm-to-table menu with a focus on staying true to the ingredients.  The address is 1035 N Miami Avenue.

Jugo Fresh

JugoFresh – inside Whole Foods Market at 299 SE 3rd Street – promotes clean, healthy eating habits for people on the go.  With cold-pressed juices and smoothies, enhancement shots and food for raw and vegan diets as well as tapas and sandwiches, this Miami-based chain is obsessed with food good for you and the community.

Potionz is a smoothie and juice bar, coffee shop and tea room.  At 907 Brickell Avenue, they also have crepes, salads, bubble tea and popsicles.

As always, the final decision is yours! Head on over and try out these new spots and tag us @midtownmiamimag and let us know if you though these places were worth the trip. We look forward to seeing your comments. Eat, Love, Pray!
