Frank & Allie Lee of The Freight Hoppers are bringing their banjos, guitars, fiddles, harmonicas, and harmony singing to Luna Star Cafe! 7:00pm
Frank is well-known in the old time music world from his clawhammer work with string band The Freight Hoppers. He also has an instructional DVD available on Homespun Tapes. He has been on staff at Augusta Heritage Center Old Time Week, Roots of American Music Week at Mars Hill, and more. Allie has taught several kids’ guitar camps and also taught Intermediate Guitar at Old Time Music Week at Mars Hill, University in 2019. Allie is a former 7th grade Language Arts teacher and also a Wernick Method Bluegrass Jam instructor. Frank and Allie both play guitar and banjo and love to sing! Frank also plays fiddle and bass. Allie also plays harmonica. Additionally, Frank and Allie coordinate an old time music retreat in their hometown called the Banjo-Fiddle Frolic.
