Celebrate two years of First Fridays at ICA Miami with a special performance by NYC-based producer TYGAPAW! Known for her underground parties throughout NYC, TYGAPAW is a Jamaican-born multidisciplinary producer and DJ whose signature blend of dancehall, ballroom, and experimental rhythms is garnering international attention.
First Fridays at ICA Miami are part of a neighborhood-wide initiative celebrating art and performance in the Miami Design District. Every first Friday, ICA Miami remains open until 10pm, and offer experiences for visitors of all ages—film screenings, exhibition tours, performances, talks, and more!

Don’t miss this chance to experience the Garden with its stunning late afternoon glowing landscapes leading into a full moonrise. Shirley will offer effective techniques to take stunning photos of the winter sunset then leading into the Gibbous moonrise using your iPhone. Students will then spend time creatively processing their images with a few choice Apps in the classroom.
Instructor Bio: Shirley Drevich holds a BFA from Tulane University in Ceramics with a minor in Photography. She did post-graduate work in Jewelry at Boston University’s Program in Artisanry. Over the last few years, she has been engaged in iPhoneography (photography and processing exclusively on an IOS device). She has exhibited her images in several shows in New York City, Santa Monica, CA, Berkely, CA, Miami, FL, and Naples, Italy.

An interactive pre-show party takes place one hour before showtime with opportunities to meet the cast, snap selfies and play games so be sure to come and get your seats early! hailing from around the world. The Broadway-style opening and closing singing and dancing add another level of storytelling and magic to the experience.

The main event lasts approximately 90 minutes, with a brief intermission. Attendees are encouraged to stay after the show to mingle with the performers and take group photos on stage with the cast for no additional charge. The show will be presented by our bilingual Ringmaster in Spanish and English and the majority of our performers are Spanish/English speaking (in addition to many other languages.)
Tickets are $5 more at the door than prices online, so save time and money and buy online in advance. When we sell out online there are no tickets available at the door. Our Sensory Friendly show is on Thursday, Feb 6th at 7pm. This is a quieter version of the show to accommodate those with sensory overload concerns and outbursts around the theater are encouraged and expected!
